Peace on Halloween

Posted on 29th October 2008 in Arts and crafts

I picked out a pumpkin last weekend. It was huge. Had a blast carving it but left it at our friends’ house. It’s awesome and can hardly wait until I bring it back to our apartment.

Purple scarf

Posted on 17th September 2008 in Arts and crafts

I have a ton of yarn right now. It’s from previous projects, unfinished projects, gifts, thrift shops and such. I decided a couple of weeks ago that I was going to finish these projects and use the rest of my yarn. Started with the dark purple, not sure what it is, threw away the tag. Maybe an acrylic blend? It’s from one of my first projects, a scarf I made my niece, which to be honest was not my best work. Was not in a hurry to finish it, just tried to enjoy the rhythm of crocheting, it took me almost two weeks to finish it. Now it’s done and I’ll be listing it in my shop Taynnee Bazaar as soon as I have confirmed the kind of yarn. I still have yet to sell anything, it will come with time.
I modeled the scarf myself because there isn’t someone around to do it now. Use my trusty camera with the huge amount of settings. The pictures are pretty accurate showing the color and detail. The yarn is incredibly soft and has a little fuzziness. It’s a dark dusty purple, very long, 93 inches and thin. It will be able to be stretched out longer. Please visit my shop next week if you would like to buy it.Taynnee Bazaar.

My Etsy mini

Posted on 14th August 2008 in Arts and crafts

I have an Etsy shop. I only have a few things on it. It’s a part-time project that I keep working on. I posted an Etsy mini on my myspace page, sorry I’d add a link but I have had to privatize it recently. It looks awesome! So I’ll post it here as well. I really am so proud of myself. I know/knew almost nothing about computers or online things until recently. I still don’t know a lot, but Rick is teaching me and I’m making awesome changes to blogs and pages. Learning a little about html. It’s so much fun!

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen financial issues my Etsy shop is empty. So instead of oogling my stuff, oogle other peoples stuff. I love window shopping and when I’m looking for something unique I go there and browse!

Leaf Dangles

Posted on 3rd August 2008 in Arts and crafts

Last night Rick and I bought some crafty stuff and I made a pair of earrings. I love them. I have worried about this, liking something I made so much that I won’t list it. They really are awesome. Hopefully, someone else will think the same thing.
The first pair of earrings have metal leafs dangling below a combination of silver, aventurine green flower, and red agate beads. They remind me of nature; red-orange of a sunset, green beads that remind me of valleys, forests. I live in the Northwestern Washington. It reminds me of this beautiful place. I currently live in the city. If I can’t live closely surrounded by the countryside I can make things that remind me of those places. Look at my etsy account later today.
